About : Still in her early twenties, Tejaswini Pandit has covered the gamut of theater, television and films in a short span of seven years. As a teenager Tejaswini was a tomboy yet she had a distinctive interest in extracurricular activities like dance, acting, drawing and sports. She also started training in ‘Kathak’ dancing (a traditional form of classical Indian dance). She started her career by playing a negative role in Aga Bai Arrecha movie Directed by Kedar Shinde. She gained popularity as one of the talented actress in Marathi film industry by playing some heart touching roles in movies like ‘Vavtal’ & Mee Sindhutai Sapkal and has since appeared in Marathi films, theater, television shows and has established herself as one of Marathi cinema’s leading actresses. Tejaswini won numerous major awards in her initial phase of career, including Best Actor Female in MIFTA 2011 London, Best Actress award in Spain International Film Festival 2011 and nomination for ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ in Asia Pacific Screen Awards held in Australia 2010. In addition to films, Tejaswini has worked in Television shows and received accolades for the same. ‘Ekach Hya Janami Janu‘ & ‘Kalay Tasmai Namah‘ are her current ongoing projects on television.
